Break Up

This is not a poetry but a dumb duet song, but it is quite fun to sing though :-)

Woman:
Hey hey, the writings on the wall
Listen, I am waiting for your call
Just let me know, that you're sorry
and that there is none to worry
and save me, save me from this fall

Man:
Gold-digger,
you are smarter than the average hoe-digger
you know you are the cause of this fight too
I know because I am on the right too
And you expect me to say sorry
And that there is nothing to worry
there is a big bloody hatchet to bury
you're lucky to be alive in this fury.

Woman:
Hey hey...
Hey hey...

Man:
Hey hey, the writings on the wall
Listen don't be waitin' for my call
Just let me know, that you're sorry
and that you have lot to worry
and save me, save me from this fall

Woman:
Hey hey, the writings on the wall
Listen, I am waiting for your call
Just let me know, that you're sorry
and that there is none to worry
and save me, save me from this fall

Woman:
You came to me
when I was sittin at the bar
told me you were rich
with a sleek looking car
And that your life was incomplete
without me in it you said
Said was the prettiest girl alive
as you took me to the bed
The nerve you have
to call me a gold-digger
From that dirty mouth of yours
like your penis but bigger
I don't need your money
and I don't need you
I'll be sure to make a call
just to say fuck you!

Man:
Hey hey ...
Hey hey ...

Woman:
Hey hey ...
Hey hey ...

Man, Woman:
Hey hey, the writings on the wall
I am now ready for this fall
There are no place for no sorries
I would rather harakiri
I won't take you back even if you crawl

Man, Woman:
Hey hey ...
Hey hey ...
Hey hey ...
Hey hey ...

First Love

I am part of this group on goodreads which conducts a weekly contest of poetry and short story (with different theme every week). I started participating in the hope that I will write something every week and it seems to work. At least my blog seems a bit more active now :P
----

I am, near you,
Near you, yet I can't,
Yet I can't realize,
Can't realize.

I have, as you see,
As you see, a duality,
See a duality, that crystallized,
Just crystallized.

I just look down, then look sideways,
All I want do, is to see your face.
I stiffen up, when you come by,
When you leave, I breathe a sigh.

I am, near you,
Near you, yet I can't,
Yet I can't realize,
Can't realize.

Now here I am, I asked you out,
To confess to you, how I feel.

Just see me thinking here about these useless things,
Want to bury myself in the shame it brings,
Look at the words, they are flying with wings,
And its just been a minute and so it stings.

I am, near you,
Near you, yet I can't,
Yet I can't speak out,
Can't speak out.

And time goes, so slow by,
So slow, just let me die,
Just let me die, let me die.

Regrets

Color me red,
color me yellow,
as anger and fear,
take me in their stride.

I look right behind, on
all the different paths,
that I could have probably
taken, in this ride.

Veering from my path,
and being led astray,
the shadows of my past
have now come to prey.

The colors in the surrounding
look much more bright,
as I paint my character
in shades of grey.

Color me green,
color me blue,
as envy and sadness,
shows my life untrue.

I see where I am standing,
and I see where I am going,
then I see all the people,
who have made it through.

Difference in potential,
then comes to light,
since all their achievements,
come out for display.

The colors in the surrounding
look much more bright,
as I paint my character
in shades of grey.

Color me white,
color me black,
as the shock of it all,
drains all my hope.

Feeling of failure,
of having left behind,
was too much to bear,
than I could ever cope.

A hand reached out to me,
and pulled me out,
as my friends came out,
made me join in a play.

The colors in my life
now look much more bright,
as they build my character
with rainbow clay.

Close to someone

I say this a lot,
I don't want to get close to anyone.
I say this a lot,
I don't need anyone in my life.
I say this a lot,
My destiny is carved by my own hands.
I say this a lot,
There is nothing in this world that can make me cry.

But when there is a chance,
That I can be close to someone

I try hard,
Getting close to that someone.
I try hard,
In making a bond with them.
I try hard,
To not let go of their hand.
But I don't know how,
It always seems to slip away.

How does it feel,
To be close to someone?
How does it feel,
To share all of your life?
How does it feel,
To sacrifice something for them?
How does it feel,
To know that you have a shoulder to cry?

When there is a chance,
That I can find the answers.

I try hard,
Getting close to that someone.
I try hard,
In making a bond with them.
I try hard,
To not let go of their hand.
But I don't know how,
It always seems to slip away.

I am afraid.
I am scared.
Of the deceit,
and the pain that follows.
I am afraid.
I am scared.
Of expectations,
and my failure to meet them.

But when there is a chance,
That I can be close to someone.

I try hard...
I wonder if its true anymore
I try hard...
I don't believe myself
I try hard....

I can't be close to anyone,
And I know why.

A little rendition :

Sorry my voice hasn't been what it used to be. Also, this was a few minutes quick recording and I didn't bother to clean it up. Just wanted to record the tune that I was humming in my head.
